Preventative care is vital to maintaining your pet’s health and happiness. At Animal Care Clinic, we are driven to prevent illness and disease in all of our four-legged family members. Our veterinarians recommend bi-annual wellness exams for your pet.

The Health Profile

At each visit, our veterinarians will perform a thorough nose-to-tail examination. The information we collect during these exams allows us to create a complete health profile for your pet. Using this profile we have a better chance of early detection of any potential problems your pet may encounter.

A Typical Examination

During your pet’s first visit to our clinic, we will weigh your furry friend, verify all of your information, discuss his or her health profile and history, and discuss any issues. We perform a full physical examination and run any tests. Then, we sit down with you to discuss any recommended treatments.

Diet and Nutrition

Proper diet and nutrition are vital to keeping your pet happy and active. After the examination, we will discuss any emerging health issues with you. We will work with you to create a course of diet and nutrition tailored to your pet’s individual needs. This will keep them healthy and happy for many years to come.

Stages of Life

The needs of a pet differ whether they are a puppy or kitten, adult pet, or a companion in their senior years. Specialized life-stage care is important. We can survey the health profile as your pet grows, comparing where they were to where they are. This gives us a good picture for how to treat age-related conditions.

Vaccinations

Vaccinations are essential to your pet’s overall health and wellness. No longer are they simply for the prevention of rabies. Modern vaccinations defend against a wide variety of once-fatal diseases.

Each patient is unique at Animal Care Clinic, but a traditional vaccination schedule is the same. We will work closely with you to ensure your pet’s vaccinations are on schedule.

Vet Diagnostic Laboratory

Animal Care Clinic is equipped with an in-house diagnostic laboratory capable of performing a variety of tests. Results can be obtained the same day and are quite accurate. A partial list of these tests includes:

  • Complete blood count (CBC)
  • Blood chemistry analysis
  • Urinalysis
  • Parasitology
  • Fecal analysis
  • Cytology

We are pleased to be able to offer our pet patients a 30-day trial of Trupanion pet insurance with every wellness visit.
